Biostimulators are injectable treatments that stimulate the body's natural production of collagen and elastin to improve skin texture, firmness, and volume over time. Unlike traditional fillers that provide immediate volume, biostimulators create a gradual, natural-looking enhancement by rebuilding the skin's foundation from within.
They are used for a variety of aesthetic concerns, including reducing wrinkles and lines, improving skin quality, and restoring lost volume.

Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable that stimulates your body to produce its own collagen to restore lost volume and smooth wrinkles. Made of poly-L-lactic acid, it is injected under the skin and works gradually over a few months, unlike traditional fillers that provide immediate results. It can be used on the face for areas like the cheeks, jawline, and smile lines, and also for non-surgical buttock augmentation, with results potentially lasting up to two years.

Facetem is a breakthrough in aesthetic treatments. Originating from South Korea, this advanced dermal filler combines cutting-edge technology with a unique blend of ingredients to restore volume, contour the face, and reduce wrinkles naturally.
Facetem is a sterile, semi-solid dermal filler composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a smooth gel carrier.

Radiesse is an FDA-approved injectable dermal filler used to restore volume and correct wrinkles by stimulating the body's natural collagen production. It consists of calcium-based microspheres in a water-based gel that provides immediate results while the gel is absorbed, and the microspheres stimulate collagen production for longer-lasting fullness. It is used for smoothing facial wrinkles, restoring volume in the hands, and contouring areas like the jawline.

Ellansé is a collagen-stimulating dermal filler made of polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres that provides both immediate volume correction and long-term skin rejuvenation. Unlike traditional fillers, it works by not only filling wrinkles and folds but also by stimulating the body's own natural collagen production, which improves the skin's firmness and elasticity over time. Results can last from one to four years depending on the specific product used, making it a versatile option for areas like the face, neck, and hands.

HArmonyCa is a dual-effect hybrid injectable treatment that combines hyaluronic acid for an immediate lift with calcium hydroxyapatite to stimulate your body's own collagen production for longer-lasting results. This injectable is used to restore lost volume, lift and tighten the skin, and improve firmness and elasticity in areas like the cheeks, jawline, and temples. It provides an initial filling effect from the hyaluronic acid while the calcium hydroxyapatite works over time to create a scaffold for new collagen growth, with results that improve over 18 months.

Normally, it takes time to show results and 2-3 treatments with an interval of 6-8 weeks are usually required to get the full effect. The process of collagen production triggered by biostimulator doesn’t happen overnight. It is true that some patients notice an immediate change in their fullness and skin condition, however, most patients will start noticing results around 6 weeks after the first treatment and a more significant improvement after the second one.
Yes you can and that helps to deliver a fabulous result. As long as they are not performed in the same areas on the same day, that’s not a problem. It is fantastic to use Biostimulator more laterally in the temples, pre auricular area and lower cheeks and treat the upper cheeks, nasolabial folds and chin with dermal fillers for instance. However, an area treated with dermal fillers previously will require at least 6 months until it can be treated with Biostimulator and vice versa. This is a cautious measure to help preventing complications and the formation of lumps and bumps.
The side effects most commonly noted with Biostimulator are normally related to the injections themselves.
They are:
The rare side effects include nodules, granulomas, skin discolouration, scarring and infection. In order to minimise that, the biostimulator should only be administered by an experienced injector who’s trained well at performing Biostimulator. To prevent any side effects it’s essential the patient to follow the aftercare by performing the massages, not applying any make up for at least 12 hours after the treatment, not ingesting any alcoholic beverages for 24 hours and not exercising for 24 hours.
Biostimulation treatments are contraindicated to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding; patients who are allergic to lidocaine; patients with multiple allergies and history of anaphylaxis and patients with active inflammation or infection.
The longevity of any treatment depends on several factors and we do recommend Biostimulation as an ongoing anti-aging treatment. Biostimulation can last for an average of 1-2 years and there are patients that experience the effects for up to 5 years.
